Nadia Middleton

Originally from Montreal, Nadia comes to us with thirteen years in executive recruitment, including leading the mining division of a publicly traded firm. Nadia joined Shift in 2018 after six years with the province’s business development agency, InvestNS (NSBI), where she managed the expansion of Nova Scotia’s global business network. As Vice President of Corporate Development, Nadia has the overall responsibility for Shift’s growth strategies, which includes partnership development, research and M&A. She also has oversight for all commercial activities, including marketing, communications and branding. As the daughter of a Sicilian immigrant, her passion for supporting new Canadians runs deep. As such, she volunteers with organizations such as ISANS, EduNova, as well as supports emerging female leaders through the YWCA Women’s Leadership Collaborative. She is also a member of the Board of Directors with the Halifax Chamber of Commerce. Nadia holds a Bachelor of Arts, Psychology, from Concordia University. She moved to Nova Scotia in 2011 with her husband and two daughters and has been enjoying the ocean and saltwater air every day since!
