Kelly Shaw is a highly regarded veteran in the field of Child and Youth Care with over 25 years of experience. For over 15 years she has led the Child and Youth Care program at the Nova Scotia Community College (NSCC). Kelly has an MA in Child and Youth Study, holds certification from the CYC Certification Board and is completing a PhD in Educational Studies at Brock University. Kelly has been instrumental in increasing the scope and practice of Child and Youth Care nationally, while supporting emerging youth care workers entering the field in Nova Scotia. She has been both the President of the Council of Canadian Child and Youth Care Associations as well as the President of the Nova Scotia Child and Youth Care Workers Association and regularly presents internationally on youth care. Kelly has been a key advisor of the company since its inception and has overseen all aspects of care delivered in our residential centres since their opening.
