Kelly Shaw

Kelly Shaw is a highly regarded expert in the field of Child and Youth Care with over 25 years of experience. For over 15 years she has led the Child and Youth Care program at the Nova Scotia Community College (NSCC). Kelly is a PhD Candidate in Educational Studies at Brock University, has an MA in Child and Youth Study, and holds certification from the CYC Certification. Kelly has been instrumental in increasing the scope and practice of Child and Youth Care nationally, while supporting emerging youth care workers entering the field in Nova Scotia. Formally the President of both the Council of Canadian Child and Youth Care Associations and the Nova Scotia Child and Youth Care Workers Association, Kelly regularly presents internationally on child and youth care. A valued advisor of the company since it’s inception, Kelly has overseen all aspects of care delivered in our youth care centres since their opening.
