DEBRIEFING GROUPS:
Need to process some of what Andy has just spoken about in his plenary session?? Need to figure out how all of this new information translates into your own ministry context?? Need help with some of the technical (theological) jargon?? Join a debriefing group to talk, process, discover and explore. Leaders will help facilitate discussion, but the direction and content are up to you to provide!
Workshop #1
Making the SHIFT: From the SUPERFLUOUS to the PROFOUND
Rev. Kristine O’Brien
Come discover what happens when we create safe space for youth to ask the ‘tough’ questions that plague the hearts and minds of young people today. How do we fashion an environment that invites and fosters challenging conversation and allows people to wrestle with doubts and anxieties, while still offering hope and peace? Kristine O’Brien is the Minister at Trafalgar Presbyterian Church in Oakville Ontario. She is also the Spirituality Center Director for Canada Youth 2012, but perhaps most importantly, she is the mother of four children… and two of them are teenagers!! Come discover alongside of Kristine what happens when we open up space for youth to ask the “tough” stuff.
