What is Making the Turn?
The SHIFT Youth Ministry Leadership Conference is BACK, and we’d love to have you join us!
This year’s SHIFT Conference is entitled: Making the Turn and features plenary speaker Dr. Andrew Root, author of: Children of Divorce, Relational Youth Ministry and the soon-to-be-released book, co-authored with Kenda Creasy-Dean, Making the Theological Turn in Youth Ministry. Andy is the Associate Professor of Youth and Family Ministry at Luther Seminary in St. Paul, Minnesota.
SHIFT will be hosted by St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church in Guelph, with doors opening at 5:30 pm on Friday, September 16th, until the afternoon of Saturday, September 17th. Register online at our website www.experienceshift.ca. Your registration fee ($70 before September 9th, afterwards it’s the ‘door’ price of $80) can be paid on our website through PayPal, or by mailing a cheque to St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, Memoline: SHIFT Youth Ministry Leadership Conference. Payment must be received prior to September 9th, or the $80 ‘door’ registration fee will apply.
Thanks to YOUR feedback at our SHIFT 2010 Conference, we’ve made these exciting changes to our SHIFT 2011 Conference format:
· Lunch will be provided onsite and is included in your registration cost!
· More time allotted for dialogue and networking with fellow youth workers!
· Opportunity to choose between debrief/discussion groups OR a themed workshop following each plenary session. We hope this more adequately meets the needs of a variety of learners!
